12th August 2007
Due to work commitments, it's been quite some time since I have had my camera out of the cupboard. I was therefore delighted that when the Andy Rouse falconry workshop came around that the weater was behaving itself.
The workshop took place at the Cotswold Falconry Centre and with owner Geoff Dalton being on holiday, head falconer Mike Hope took the helm with the birds. These workshops are a fantastic opportunity to photograph beautiful birds of prey in flight under semi-controlled conditions. Photographing the birds as the buzz past at high speed is one heck-of-a-challenge, but great fun.
My better attempts from the day can be viewed by clicking here. Let's not talk about the dozens of disasters that sat alongside these!
Thanks to Andy and to Mike for a great day, and I look forward to another attempt next year!
